Tower Information :: Day Use Information  ::  Rules and Regulations

The Birch Knob recreation area is open from 6:00 am to
10:00 pm.  The area is opened from April 1st to January 7th.

  • Gravel Parking lot for 20 vehicles
  • Observation Tower (approximately 100 yards from the parking area)
  • Vault Toilet
  • Access is provided to the Pine Mountain Trail that runs from Pound Gap to Elkhorn City
  • No parking fee
  • No trailer parking is available
