Community Colleges

Southwest Virginia Community College, located in Richlands, Virginia and 
Mountain Empire Community College, located in Big Stone Gap, Virginia are both colleges that offer two-year degree programs in occupational and technical subjects, as well as the first two years of college level subjects in the arts and sciences. Day and evening classes are available both on and off campus. Both community college’s contract with new and existing industry to provide customized training.
