Mobile Homes

The mobile home tax rate for the year 2005 is sixty cents ($0.60) per hundred dollars of assessed value. The assessed value of mobile homes is determined by using the fair market value based on square footage of each home.

Mobile homes are taxed according to ownership as of January 1 of each year.

A tax relief program is available to senior and/or permanently disabled citizens. See Real Estate Tax Relief.

If a mobile home is moved from the locality, it is important that you contact the office with the date of the move so that tax records may be kept accurately.

An electrical permit and inspection is due upon setting a mobile home. Any questions concerning zoning ordinances or permits should be directed to the Building Inspector’s Office.
