It is the responsibility of the Voter Registrar’s Office to oversee all aspects of the Electoral process and to make sure that the voting rights of the people are upheld in accordance to the Code of Virginia.

The Voter Registrar’s Office registers voters, maintains voting records, and establishes precinct boundaries and polling locations for the county’s thirteen precincts.

The office is also responsible for providing and approving applications for voter registration and absentee ballots. Staff members also conduct elections, supervise poll workers on Election Day, and tally election results. 

Please remember, freedom is an inherent human right, but it is also fragile and can be lost through neglect or misuse.  It also requires responsibility. The Voter Registrar’s Office is dedicated to nurturing and protecting Democracy based on these principles.
